DEATH TOLL ON TYPHOON ‘VINTA’ NOW AT 4

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) announced on Wednesday that the death toll for Typhoon Vinta has climbed to four with damage to property placed around P276.638 million. In its 6 a.m. on Wednesday update, the most recent fatality was identified as Reynante Binala, 41, of Batac City in Ilocos Norte. The NDRRMC said Binala drowned on October 31 and his body was found at Garasgas River. Vinta affected 55,369 families or 265,769 people in 688 villages in 46 towns and one city in five provinces.
