• Decision on Pemberton case reset to Dec. 1

The Olongapo Regional Trial Court has reset to December 1 the promulgation of the decision on the murder case against United States Marine Lance Cpl. Joseph Scott Pemberton after his lawyers requested for a postponement. It was learned that Rowena Garcia-Flores, lead counsel of Pemberton, is out of the country, while another lawyer, Filemon Ray Javier, is out of town and would not be available for today’s (November 24) scheduled promulgation. Pemberton is facing murder charges for the killing of transgender Jeffrey “Jennifer” Laude last year before the sala of Judge Roline Ginez-Jabalde of Regional Trial Court Branch 74.
