Del Rosario went through some anxious moments in the semis, thwarting EJ Geluz, 6-4, 6-4, before trouncing Stefano Gurria, 6-0, 6-3, to claim the boys’ 16-and-under crown in the Group 2 tournament sponsored by Palawan Pawnshop and presented by Slazenger.

The Alabang ace later teamed up with Lorenz Quitara to crush Geluz and Gurria, 8-2, and pocket the 18-U doubles plum at the Orchard Golf and Country Club tennis courts.

The Acenas later routed Elise Geluz and Denise Bernardo, 8-0, to run away with the 18-U doubles title in the four-day event backed by Asiatraders Corp. and the new Unified tennis group, led by PPS-PEPP, Cebuana Lhuillier, Wilson, Toby’s and B-Meg.

Other winners were Cavite’s Kean Enriquez, Samuel Nuguit from Las Piñas, Diego Dayrit and Gabriel Tiamson, both from Alabang, Melody Dizon from Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Elise Geluz from Imus, Cavite.
