TECHNOLOGY company Dell EMC Philippines said on Monday it was looking at expanding its foothold in the country, focusing on areas outside Metro Manila.
Ronnie Latinazo, Dell EMC Philippines country general manager, told The Manila Times they were considering opening more concept stores in key cities outside the National Capital Region.
“You know, when we started with one [concept store]we didn’t expect to reach 11 so it really depends on how we see the market grow, especially markets outside Manila which have become key growth areas,” he said.
He added this is why the company is spreading its points of presence across the country to cities such as Iloilo, Davao and Cebu.
Latinazo also said Dell EMC is keen on cementing its presence in the gaming market with the launch of its new Inspiron gaming laptop on Monday.
“[W]e’re targeting the mainstream gamers, which could be a good market for us to penetrate and grow,” he said.
Dell introduced the Inspiron 15 7000 gaming laptop, which is equipped with the latest graphics technology and is virtual-reality technology ready. The company also launched the new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 laptop.
