DELL on Thursday launched an enterprise-class capabilities solution for branch office companies and the small- and medium-business market.
According to Christopher Papa, Dell Philippines country manager, the new solution dubbed as “PowerEdge VRTX” can be tailored for specific application and workload use cases.
The PowerEdge VRTX, he added, was designed to deliver information technology (IT) simplicity, efficiency and agility for offices of all sizes and specifically for remote offices and small and midsize businesses.
He said that Dell is in the forefront of helping a broad range of customers with an array of converged and preintegrated solutions, each designed to address the different customer’s common needs.
“Dell’s customer-inspired innovation is driven by our deep understanding of the business realities impacting customer’s today and interpreting those trends through delivery of modern IT technologies,” he added.
“PowerEdge VRTX” is a private cloud in a box and the first converged IT solution designed specifically for remote and small office environments, with enterprise-class capabilities in a desk-side, space-saving design.
Papa said that the new solution enables customers and partners to experience greater simplicity, realize improved efficiency and achieve greater value with a preconfigured solution.
The solution can also help solve hardware disparity, sprawl and lack of space through the convergence of servers, storage and networking into a rackable desk-side chassis, with the capacity to support up to four server nodes.
