COTABATO CITY, Maguindanao: Dengue cases continue to rise in the province of Maguindanao. Dr. Tahir Sulaik, Integrated Provincial Health Office chief, said there are 425 cases recoded from January to September this year, which is 24 percent higher compared to the same period last year wherein 342 cases were recorded. He attributed the increase in cases to climate change. Sulaik appealed to the public to clean their surroundings and to do away with the practice of self-medication. He said patients who have symptoms of dengue must be brought immediately to the hospital for treatment.
