The provincial government of Pampanga over the weekend undertook to continue giving free medical assistance to dengue patients confined in the province’s hospitals.
Gov. Lilia Pineda earlier announced that the province would pay for the medical expenses of dengue patients in the province.
The Provincial Information Office (PIO) declared that the said policy remains in effect.
As such, the PIO stated, resident of Pampanga suffering from dengue could still avail of health services from different district hospitals free of charge.
The PIO also asked residents, particularly those in coastal communities, to continue supporting the province’s anti- dengue program being launched by their respective towns.
Based on the data from Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, there were 2,699 dengue cases in the province from January to June this year.
