The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is partnering with the Climate Change Commission, other government agencies, and stakeholders to promote the use of bamboo to help mitigate the disastrous results of climate change and provide livelihood for affected communities.

DENR Secretary Gina Lopez said at the recent National Symposium and Exhibit on Bamboo (NSEB) held in Pasay City that the government will make sure local communities will directly benefit from the livelihood component of the government’s program to develop the bamboo industry.
