The Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) will be helping the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to ensure the successful staging of the 2013 Philippine Youth Games–Batang Pinoy beginning on August 27 in Mindanao.
The Philippine Youth Games–Batang Pinoy was created as part of the PSC’s grassroots development program which aims to discover fresh talents with ages 15 and below. The PSC along with the DepEd, DILG, the Leagues of Provinces, Cities, Municipalities and Barangays will be working hand in hand in fulfilling the needs of every participant.
The first leg of this year’s Philippine Youth Games–Batang Pinoy will be held in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
The second leg is scheduled on September 24 to 28 in Maasin City, Southern Leyte while the third leg will be on October 15 to 19 in Iba, Zambales.
