THE Department of Education (DepEd) will give out Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) next week, DepEd said on Wednesday.
Assistant Secretary Jesus Mateo said they have already given the validated performance report to the Inter-agency Task Force last Friday.
“Seventy six percent are finished validation and submitted last Friday. And, hopefully, it will be released next week,” Mateo said in a statement.
The department is going to give 410,000 teachers their PBB amounting from P 5,000 to P 35,000. Mateo requested for the bonuses to be given directly to the regional offices.
The department also mentioned that they decided to put teachers’ first then non-teaching personnel.
They also clarified that the delay in giving out the PBB is because of the validation process for the academic year 2012-2013 and not fiscal year. PNA
