DepEd, Knowledge Channel renew partnership PACT

THE Department of Education (DepEd) and Knowledge Channel Foundation have renewed a partnership agreement that includes support of the new K-to-12 curriculum, development of videos, games and interactive lessons. The 10-year partnership agreement allows public schools nationwide to have continued access to Knowledge Channel’s educational shows and multimedia learning resources through cable, satellite and the Internet. Led by the Adopt-A-School program, the partnership is expected to benefit 4,000 learners and 4,000 public high schools yearly. “Knowledge Channel is one consistent partner in the past 17 years in a country where there is actually no education channel,” Education Secretary Armin Luistro said.
