THE Department of Education (DepEd) said on Saturday that it will again accept applications for the Senior High School Voucher Program.
The department will resume accepting applications on April 22, as it aims to accommodate more Grade 10 completers to pursue Senior High School education in private schools, universities and colleges.
Applications should be sent online by accessing the Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP) of the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) at http://ovap.deped.gov.ph
Applications for the voucher program closed on February 15.
The DepEd said that at present, more than 50,000 Grade 10 completers from non-Education Service Contracting (ESC) grantees have been awarded vouchers.
Under the voucher program, students are provided with a subsidy that enables them to get a discount on tuition and other school fees for their senior high school studies.
The deadline for reopened applications will be on May 6. It is non-extendable, and the results will be announced on or before May 20, 2016, the DepEd said.
Concerns and queries regarding the ESC and SHS Voucher programs can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org or to the DepEd Action Center at (02) 636-1663 or (02) 633-1942.
