• DFA AIDS PASSPORT APPLICANTS IN REMOTE TOWNS

    LUCENA CITY: The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Region 4-A Consular Office here is currently implementing a special passport service designed to assist passport applicants from remote towns in their areas of responsibility. Jocelyn Roxas, DFA-Region 4-A Consular Officer told The Manila Times they tapped the local government units in the region in facilitating passport processing, with the local government transport services to passport applicants in their respective towns or cities to their office, located at the third floor of the Pacific Mall in this city. Roxas said this system is formerly known as the mobile passporting service, wherein her office would come down to a selected municipalities as scheduled, but they decided to modify the service, with passport applicants coming down to their office with the assistance of their local government.
