Diplomats credit PNoy for growth

The diplomatic community lauded President Beningo Aquino 3rd and his government for the “excellent results” it has produced particularly in the country’s economic gains.

“We cannot forget, in fact, the most recent events in the institutional life of the country and the excellent results delivered by the Executive in the economic sphere, in view of an inclusive growth, by creating the employment opportunities and reducing poverty,” Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto said during the Vin d’Honneur hosted by Aquino in Malacañang.

“Also appreciated is the progress in the efficiency of public administration, improvements in healthcare and the education, as well as the efficient allocation of resources,” he added.

Pinto, dean of the Diplomatic Corps, also lauded that the peace pact between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). The Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro was signed by both parties on October 15 last year.

“The journey towards the full implementation of the legal instrument, with the anticipated conclusion of the annexes, coincides with the path to a better understanding and intensification of dialogue between religions and cultures,” Pinto said.

“Everyday marks the beginning of new stage in life. But one day is not equal to others, and sometimes holds a special significance,” Pinto said, as he offered a toast to the “greater progress and prosperity of the Filipino people as well as to the happiness and well-being of President Aquino.”
