Over 1,500 cyclists from around the world will join the Philippine qualifying leg of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Mountain Bike Championship (MTB) dubbed Dirt Weekend from November 6 to 8 in Nuvali, Laguna.
“We continuously develop programs that are attuned to the local biking community. Programs that promote healthier lifestyle by encouraging biking as a mode of transportation and recreation,” said Nuvali General Manager John Estacio in a press conference on Tuesday at the Mind Museum in Taguig.
The competition, co-presented by Fox, is open to local and international athletes. Nuvali, through the tournament, aims to discover world-class athletes.
“We would like to also serve as a platform for globally competitive athletes from the Philippines to get a chance to compete in the global stage,” Estacio said.
