FOR those who are in constant search of a quick getaway, opting to stay in hotels and resorts can be the best escape whether in or out of the city.
With the first-ever travel fair hosted by the Discovery Leisure Company on April 29 at the Podium Mall in Ortigas, Pasig City, frequent travelers or vacationing families were presented with a wide array of destinations from which to choose today.
Promising excellent service, state-of-the art amenities, and exquisite dining pleasures, the homegrown Discovery Group put together exciting promotions and offerings fit for both leisure or business guests.
“This first-ever travel fair hosted by the Discovery Group is our attempt to reach out to our clients who want top-of-the line choices when traveling in the country. Whether foreign or local clients, we want to present various options to our guests,” said Leeds Trompeta, general manager for Discovery Suites.
Besides the popular destinations of Discovery Suites in Ortigas, Discovery Shores in Boracay, and Country Suites in Tagaytay, the group aims to promote other company owned properties such as Club Paradise in Palawan and the soon to open Discovery Primea in Makati City.
For its Palawan hub, Club Paradise offers a whole range of leisure activities including bottom fishing, a Calauit Wildlife Safari Tour, a Coron Island Tour, diving, and snorkeling, to name a few. Situated in Coron, the vacation haven is also go-to place for divers and nature lovers.
“We also offer the ‘Discovery Fleet’—it’s a boat that takes you to scuba diving destinations of Apo and Tubbataha Reefs. They’re not just for use of scuba divers but also those who want to set sail in the sea,” Trompeta said.
This service, which was introduced in 2013, caters to guests who want to experience a full day of snorkeling, island visits and beach hopping. Operating year-round, the Discovery Fleet takes its passengers from the Batangas port to the Apo Reef in Occidental Mindoro. It also sails from the Puerto Princesa port, which takes adventurers to the world famous Tubbataha Reef, with stopovers at the Cagayancillo and Calusa islands in Palawan.
“For the business traveler, it is important to stay connected and comfortable while in the city. In Ortigas and Makati accommodations, we offer 24/7 connectivity, technology-advanced room features, and quality service that is the trademark of the Discovery Group,” Trompeta reiterated in conclusion.
There will be more Discovery Travel Mart events within the year.
