Gia Sagandoy racked up four titles while Marcus del Rosario annexed three crowns as the De La Salle-Zobel bets stamped their class in the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala Manila Southwoods leg regional age-group 2016 at the Manila Southwoods Sports Club in Carmona, Cavite recently.
The unranked Sagandoy, 14, upended top seed Camille So, 6-3, 7-5, in the semis then trounced Mia So, 6-3, 6-3, to snare the girls’ 18-and-under crown. She also scored a 1-0 (ret.) win over No. 1 Gab Zoleta in the semis then whipped doubles partner Denise Bernardo, 6-0, 6-1, to run away with the 16-U plum.
