Consunji-led conglomerate DMCI Holdings Inc. on Tuesday said it has bought out the remaining stake in UK-listed mining firm ENK Plc., which operates nickel mines in the Philippines. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, DMCI said it has acquired D&A Income Ltd’s 40 percent interest in ENK for 42.029 million pounds in cash. DMCI currently owns 60 percent of ENK. ENK, formerly European Nickel Plc, is a nickel laterite development and production company. It also focuses on the exploration of cobalt. At present, the UK-based company has two projects, the Zambales and Acoje nickel mines, which have an indicative 840,000 tons of contained nickel .
