Janet Lim-Napoles will not only be guarded by members of the Philippine National Police’s Special Action Force (SAF) but by doctors as well while she is detained in Fort Santo Domingo in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Napoles’ lawyer Lorna Kapunan said the medical condition of her client needs to be monitored because she has diabetes.
“She will be accompanied by her doctors at Fort Santo Domingo,” said Kapunan.
Kapunan said it is safer for Napoles to stay in Fort Santo Domingo than in the Makati City Jail where she was held for two days.
Kapunan assured that Napoles will attend hearings on her illegal detention case at the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150.
PNP spokesman Sr. Supt. Ruben Theodore Sindac confirmed that Napoles was transferred to Fort Santo Domingo shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday.
