THE Department of Energy (DOE) and the private sector have joined hands to boost the amount of power in the Visayas. The DOE said Global Business Power Corporation’s (GBPC) Toledo Power Company’s has implemented its 1A Expansion Project synchronization to the grid in Toledo City, Cebu. Visayas Field Office Director Antonio Labios said the 82 megawatts (MW) power project will benefit industrial power consumers in the southern portion of the province. The synchronization was originally dated on October 2014. Labios said the government, in partnership with the private sector, is continuously paving the way towards a better investment environment.
