DOH allots P100M for new Ospital ng Imus


Cavite: The construction of a P100-million Ospital ng Imus was announced by 3rd District Rep. Alex Advincula and other local officials on Monday, the second anniversary of the cityhood of Imus.

House Bill 3182 or “An act establishing the 50-bed capacity district hospital in the City of Imus, otherwise known as the Ospital ng Imus was approved by Congress with appropriating of funds.

Advincula donated the 30,000-square meter lot last month for the construction of the first government hospital for the poor residents of the city.

The Department of Health (DOH) provided the P100-million fund for the construction of the hospital in Malagasang 1-G, Imus City.

The national government through Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla has allocated P20 million for dialysis Center while the local government contributed P30 million for 50 units of beds and for the salary of the hospital employees.

Imus City Mayor Emmanuel” Manny” Maliksi, Dr. Nestor Santiago, head of Center for Health Development for Southern Ta–galog and local city councils attended the hospital’s launch.
