• DOH EXCEEDS TARGETS IN SETTING UP ‘BNB’ IN CARAGA

    BUTUAN CITY: The Department of Health (DOH) exceeded its target in the number of “Botika ng Barangay” (BnBs) or village drug stores established in Caraga region to provide safe, effective and affordable medicines to the people in the region, especially the poor. Hayde Senaca, BnB coordinator, said that as of June this year, the DOH has established 159 or 126 percent over the target of 126 BnBs in Agusan del Norte. In Agusan del Sur, Senaca said 252 BnBs were established or 160 percent above the target of 157 BnBs; Surigao del Norte, 183 BnBs while the target was 167, or 110 percent accomplishment; Dinagat Island, 75 BnBs established, or 150 percent to the target of 50; and Surigao del Sur, 228 BnBs set up as compared to 155 target, or 147 percent accomplishment.
