DOH hires 6 nurses, 25 midwives for Kalinga


TABUK CITY, Kalinga: The Department of Health (DOH) is hiring nurses and midwives to provide better health opportunities to rural communities here. Bernadette Andaya of the Center for Health Development said the 31 health workers is part of the government’s program to bring health care closer to the people. She added that the health professionals will have an initial work period of six months and will serve as links between health service delivery and the community. They are also expected to work toward reducing maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.
