• DOLE URGES EMPLOYERS TO COMPLY HOLIDAY PAY RULES FOR NOVEMBER

    The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) urged private companies to strictly abide the applicable holiday pay rules for November 1 and 2 as it was declared special non-working days. DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said that the proper observance of the pay rules on regular holidays and special non-working days is decent, moral and it encourages productive and proficient workers. “I urge private sector employers to voluntarily comply with the holiday pay rules,” Baldoz said. Under the presidential proclamation number 459, November 1 is a special non-working day in observance of All Saints Day while November 2 is an additional special day.
