Domogan slams appointment of new police chief

BAGUIO CITY: Mayor Mauricio Domogan decried what he called the Philippine National Police’s practice of circumventing its own rules in appointing the head of station following the appointment of Senior Supt. George Daskeo, replacing Senior Supt. Rolando Miranda, acting city police chief, without notifying him. He said the assignment of the new chief of police was done without prior consultation, which is “another violation of the PNP rule on the tenure of OICs (officer-in-charge).”
