The Commission on Elections (Comelec) urged qualified Sangguniang Kabataan voters not to force themselves to register for the SK polls if bad weather continues.
Comelec spokesman James Jimenez on Friday said qualified youth council voters should monitor the weather before going to the nearest Comelec offices to register.
Under a Comelec resolution, the SK registration will begin on September 20 and end on September 29.
Jimenez said SK registrants should monitor further announcements of the poll body for possible cancelation of the SK registration in some affected areas.
The Comelec said the qualified SK voters are those who are between 15 and 17 years old by Election Day, February 21, 2015.
They must be residents in the barangay (village) for at least six months on Election Day, the poll body added.
Jimenez said the qualified SK voters now have the option to visit the iRehistro.com website for application forms for the SK polls.
