• DOTC launches Kalibo airport bidding


    The Department of Transportation and Communication said it is looking for potential bidders for the P206-million Kalibo International Airport in Aklan.

    In a bid bulletin, DOTC announced the launch of bidding for the P206.169-million Kalibo International Airport in Aklan—a project that entails the construction of apron and two-stab taxiway, as well as the installation of apron flood lights.

    The DOTC said the pre-bid conference is set for September 12 at 9:30 a.m.; the issuance of bid documents is on September 3 to September 24 and the submission and opening of bids is scheduled for September 26 at 10 a.m.

    Prospective bidders must have an experience of having completed at least one contract that is similar to the contract to be bid, and the value of which, adjusted to current prices using the National Statistic Office consumer price indices, must be at least 50 percent of the approved budget for the contract and have key personnel and relevant equipment available.
