Double-dead meat seized in QC

The Quezon City Veterinarian Office conducted a surprise inspection on Wednesday morning and confiscated more than 300 kilograms of double-dead meat or botcha at Commonwealth Market in Fairview. Four stalls found with botcha were padlocked and authorities confiscated around P45,000 worth of double-dead meat. The city veterinary office has warned the public to buy meat only bearing the seal of National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) and that the store has inspection certificate. The officials also said that some of the meats are not properly stored that could cause contamination.
