DPWH opens new roads in North Luzon

With the completion of roads leading to popular tourist destinations in northern Luzon, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Friday that tourism activities and visits to Pangasinan and Ilocos Norte are expected to rise. The DPWH completed in the last quarter of 2014 four roads that leads to the Bangrin Marine Protected Area and the Bangrin Mangrove Road, which also serves as farm-to-market road for the farmers and fisher folks living in Barangays San Jose, Luac and Aporao. The DPWH also opened the Bobonot-Tambobong Road and Poblacion-Patar Road, which provides access to attractive beaches. The projects were part of the DPWH and Department of Tourism (DOT) partnership under the Tourism Road Infrastructure Program.
