DPWH Secretary corrects Ric Ramos

This refers to the article entitled "SONA 2014: The Last of PNoy?" by Mr. Rick Ramos published last August 2, 2014, wherein the following statement were mentioned "DPWH has built 12,000 kms of roads in the past four years is not true."

In this regard, we wish to inform you that the exact statement of the President during the SONA were the following , "Kasabay ng mga natipid ng DPWH ang nailatag, napapaayos, napalawak, o naipagawa nilang kalsada mula nang maupo tayo, umabot na sa 12,184 kilometro Nung nakita ko po itong numerong 'to, napag-isip rin ako: Paano ko ba maipapaliwanag 'yung labindalawang libo? Sabi po sa atm katumbas ito ng apat na kalsadang nag-uugnay sa Laoag hanggang Zamboanga City. National roads lang po ito; wala pa rito ang mga local farm-to-market roads o tourism roads "
