• DPWH-VISAYAS EYES BUDGET INCREASE

    Eastern Visayas region is expected to have a bigger budget allocation next year for various infrastructure projects identified by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) here with the hike in the national appropriation allotted to the department, according to regional director Rolando Asis. Asis disclosed the department is expected to have an additional 10 percent for its national proposed budget amounting to around P100 billion. This was revealed during their recent meeting with Secretary Rogelio Singson in Manila. “We are already sure that our P11.026 billion budget will be approved,” he said adding that the region also stand to benefit from the 10-percent increase.
