Dream Racing is joining this year’s International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) WeatherTech Championship with its new No. 27 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 at the Sebring test.
The Las Vegas-based team is owned by Enrico Bertaggia, who is also chief executive officer of the Dream Racing company, a five-star driving experience based at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada that offers the opportunity to drive exotic Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Porsches, in addition to various super car driving experiences. His racing team is not one of the four teams penalized by IMSA over violations in engine modifications.
Meanwhile, Alaric Edscorn serves as team manager, with Larry DeGeorge and Cedric Sbirrazzuoli driving at the test. The two co-drove in the 2015 Lamborghini Super Trofeo in both America and Asia, teaming for six podiums. In addition, Sbirrazzuoli was recently named to Lamborghini’s GT3 Junior Program.
“We’ve only had the car for two and a half weeks,” Edscorn said. “We plan to run the next 10 races, beginning with Sebring. Larry and Cedric will be our main drivers, but we haven’t decided if we will go with three or four drivers for the Sebring race.”
