Drug-crazed suspects kill family in Bulacan

A family of five including a mother—her married daughter and three kids aged 11, seven and one—were killed apparently by drug-crazed suspects inside their house in Barangay Santo Cristo, San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan.

Bulacan Police provincial director, Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., identified the victims as Auring Dizon of legal age; Estrella Dizon-Carlos, 35, Donny Carlos, 11; Ella Carlos, 7; and Dexter Carlos Jr., 1.

The husband, Dexter Carlos Sr., husband of Estrella, found members of his family and his mother-in-law at about 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday at their house on North Ridge Royal Subdivision drenched in their own blood with multiple stab wounds.

Police are now hunting suspected drug users believed to be responsible for the brutal killings.

Investigation showed that Carlos Sr. arrived at their house and noticed that no one was responding to his call to open their gate. This prompted him to climb the steel gate and from a small opening in the window, he saw his mother-in-law lying on the floor, lifeless and without lower garments.

Carlos immediately went to the back of the house and was further shocked to see the naked and lifeless body of his wife with multiple stab wounds. Inside, he likewise discovered the bodies of his children drenched in blood and locked inside the upper room.

Supt. Fitz Macariola, SJDM City police chief, said a police team is now tracking down the suspects believed to be under the influence of drugs when they committed the crime.

“We are still determining if this is a work of a single person or more,” he told The Manila Times in a phone interview.

Police investigators are still determining if the two women were raped but ruled out robbery as motive since nothing was stolen from the house.
