Drug dealer with grenade killed


TUBAO, La Union: A suspected drug dealer who attempted to pull the pin of a grenade he was holding was shot dead by operatives who cornered him during a buy-bust on Tuesday. Chief Inspector Silverio Ordinado Jr., La Union police information officer, identified the suspect as Jamichael Diaz, 25, of Sitio Turod, Leones East this town. Diaz was the first drug pusher killed in police operations under Oplan Tokhang. Senior Insp. Juan Jay-ar Maggay, town’s police chief, said Diaz is on the drug watch list of the municipality but did not surrender. Police also recovered two sachets of shabu in Diaz’ possession.
