• Drug den dismantled in Baguio City


    BAGUIO CITY: Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera (PDEA-CAR) swooped down on a drug den where the suspected maintainers as well as three patrons were arrested last Sunday. In a statement issued by the PDEA-CAR on Tuesday, the anti-narcotics agents were armed with a search warrant issued by the RTC Branch 53 Manila Judge Reynaldo Alhambra when they pounced on the drug den at Lower Quirino Hill, Baguio City. The surprise raid led to the arrest of suspected maintainers Annabell del Rosario Atienza, 41, and her live-in partner Robert Manalili David, 26. Confiscated in the raid were 1,016.2317 grams of dried marijuana leaves, six sachets of metamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with a total weight of 3.1072 grams and 18 diazepam, valium, tablets weighing 3.0637 grams. The PDEA agents also collared Anthony Ringor Castillo, 37, Joel Mijica Espina, 33, and Reymon Yasis Sarmiento, 31.
