Two Chinese were arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City on Tuesday. PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr. said that seven kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, and ecstacy tablets, a party drug, were confiscated from Qiao Wen Jiang, alias Boy Intsik, 37 years old, a native of Fujian, China; and Xiao Xia Chai, 37, a female. Both are residents of 127 Mayon Street, Quezon City. “The shabu, placed inside resealable plastic bags, has an estimated street value of P35 million, while the ecstacy tablets contained in four plastic sachets are worth P2 million,” Cacdac said.
