Incoming Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Judy Taguiwalo will start her job with P2.6 billion for the whole 2016.
The amount was allotted by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) as stipulated in the General Appropriations Act for 2016.
DSWD said the P2.6 billion would be used for the implementation of social protection programs.
DBM noted that DSWD’s funds for this year should be divided into Social Pension, P1.2 billion; Protective Services P1.157 billion; and SFP, P218 million. Some P8.951 million was allotted for other activities.
