The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is launching a support system for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be globally competitive and innovative.
In a statement Friday, the department said it delivering its first series of assistance and services in the provinces through “Negosyo, Konsyumer ATBP.”
Negosyo, Konsyumer ATBP is a series of meetings between the DTI and MSMEs.
The DTI said the first meetings will be in Davao City and Cagayan Valley Region – Santiago City and Isabela City – on April 25 to 27 and April 25 to 29, respectively.
The department aims to bring MSMEs closer to the integrated menu of services and programs of the DTI in addressing the challenges in business operations and improve competitiveness.
The services will include the four pillars of the 2011-2016 SME Development Plan: enabling business environment, access to finance, access to market, and productivity and efficiency.
Negosyo, Konsyumer ATBP will go to the Bicol Region on May 25 to 27; Ilocos Region on May 26 to 28; Eastern Visayas on June 21 to 23; Central Visayas on June 9 to 11; Zamboanga Peninsula on June 16 to 20; and National Capital Region on June 23 to 25.
In the second half of 2016, the assistance and services meetings will be in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Central Mindanao, South Cotabato, and Caraga Region.
Negosyo, Konsyumer ATBP is a platform showcasing DTI services, programs and projects dedicated to consumers and businesses.
DTI bureaus and attached agencies are part of the activities to ensure easy access for the stakeholders, academe, MSMEs, potential entrepreneurs, consumer groups, investors, and beneficiaries.
