Dutch national charged for supplying ecstasy

THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Monday filed drug charges before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office against a Dutch national who was recently arrested with P15 million-worth of ecstasy tablets.

Martin De Fong was allegedly the supplier of ecstasy drugs in a bar in Barangay Bel-Air, Makati City, Metro Manila.

He was nabbed in a buy bust operation on Sunday that yielded over 15,000 tablets of blue and pink Cookie Monster ecstasy.

De Fong did not resist arrest and easily pitched information about his fellow Dutch national, Cornelius Merkars, allegedly a major supplier of ecstasy and cocaine in the Philippines.

De Fong added that he has had no communication with Merkars for almost two months now after the latter was reportedly abducted in Angeles, Pampanga.
