Duterte expected to certify as urgent Bangsamoro bill today -- Sotto

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte is expected to certify as urgent today, Tuesday, the passage of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) to expedite its ratification before the Senate and the House of Representatives (HoR).

“PRRD (the President’s initials) will send certification today or tomorrow after we promised him to pass it in both houses to iron out the disagreeing provisions in bicam and ratify it before the SONA if necessary,” Senate President Vicente Sotto 3rd said in a text message when asked about what transpired with their meeting with the Chief Executive.
