They should know what that offer is worth—nothing. The Philippines has such a middling, modestly equipped armed forces that it cannot possibly get involved in any foreign armed conflict of any magnitude. And it has its own mega problems. The communist New People’s Army, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, the Abu Sayyaf, the drug lords and crime lords, etc.
