It appears that mermaids and jellyfish don’t mix.
This was learned too late by “Dyesebel” star Anne Curtis who was stung by a jellyfish Wednesday night while shooting the Kapamilya prime time TV series in Batangas.
Fortunately, the sting wasn’t fatal but the incident left the 29-year-old star with “super rashes all over her body and in pain,” according to Eric John Salut, ABS-CBN Advertising and Promotions head.
Curtis was rushed to nearby hospitals in San Juan and Lipa towns before being transferred to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City.
She failed to mention what part of her body was stung but she updated her Twitter fans on Thursday that she was being monitored for her rashes and heart rhythm.
“Currently in St. Luke’s so they can monitor my jellyfish sting/rash and most importantly the rhythm of my heart . . . “ Curtis’ Twitter post read.
She reminded the public to stay safe while swimming in the ocean, especially during summer.
Curtis thanked Twitter fans for their concern, saying her experience and hard work has paid off with their support.
“I can now sincerely say, lahat ng puyat, pawis, dugo at (staying up late at night and all the sweat, blood and) jellyfish bites make it all worth it dahil sa supporta ng binibigay niyo sa (because of the support you gave) Dyesebel,” she tweeted.
