• DZMM PROGRAM anchor, 2 others nabbed at police headquarters

The police have filed charges of obstruction of justice, direct assault, and slander of deeds against a female anchor of radio station DZMM before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday. Lawyer Clarissa Castro, 46, was frisked after she allegedly started a commotion at the Manila Police Headquarters. Castro told The Manila Times on Wednesday that she would file illegal detention charges against some police officers. Prior to the incident, Castro said she rushed to the headquarters after learning that her client, Jackson Chua, was arrested because of a complaint of the latter’s partner Ricamarie Taylor for kidnapping their six-year-old child. Castro said Chua and Taylor have a written agreement that their child will be under the care of the father. Also charged with Castro were her companions Jonalyn Montoya and Charlston See Ching.
