ZAMBALES Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. recieved this year’s highly-coveted Cavalier Award for Public Administration category in the 116th foundation of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) held at Fort del Pilar, Baguio City on Saturday.
The Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. (PMAAAI) feted Ebdane as one of its most distinguished alumni after a thorough selection process. The former PNP Chief was chosen as one of the 2015 Cavalier Award recipients for his outstanding achievements, professionalism, exemplary leadership and dedication to public service in the last five years as Zambales governor. He was accompanied by his wife Alma.
This year’s award is second for Ebdane in the prestigious Cavalier Award. He has won several awards for PMAAAI’s Leadership in Command and Administration category, Distinguished Conduct Star, Philippine Legion of Honor, two Distinguished Service Stars, Philippine National Police Distinguished Service Medal, Medalya ng Katangi-tanging Gawa, Bronze Cross Medal, Military Merit Medals and Master Parachutist Badge.
He graduated the PMA Magiting Class of 1970 and served as the Department of Public Works and Highways secretary from July 2007 to 2010, the Philippine National Police from July 2002 to August 2004, and the Department of National Defense August 2004 to February 2005.
