CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija: A village councilman suspected as a big-time drug dealer in Guimba town was gunned down by vigilantes of the so-called Socialist Party of the Philippines.
Guimba police chief, Supt. Rechie Duldulao, said Narciso Villa, 45, of Barangay Bunol had been identified by most of the 300 who surrendered recently to be their source of drugs.
Villa, included in Guimba police’s top drug watch list, allegedly refused to join his wife and daughter who surrendered on Wednesday.
An investigation showed that Villa was on a motorcycle along the Guimba-Baloc Road when the unidentified suspects shot him. Villa died on the spot.
Meanwhile,in Quezon town, Alvin Castillo, 29, listed No.5 among suspected drug pushers was also shot dead while waiting for his drug client in Barangay Sta. Clara on Wednesday.
In Cuyapo, suspect Julie Dollente, listed No.3 drug pusher in the town, survived the attack of unidentified suspects riding a motorcycle who shot her while on her way home also on a motorcycle. Although wounded on the right thigh, Dollete managed to speed off and hid in her house for hours before reporting the incident to the police and surrendering.
