MOTORISTS are advised to brace for heavy traffic as some portions of the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) will undergo reblocking this weekend.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct road repairs and re-blocking in the cities of Quezon, Mandaluyong and Makati.
The road works, the MMDA added, will start at 10 p.m. on Friday and end at 5 a.m. on Monday.
In its advisory, the MMDA said the DPWH will conduct road reblocking and repairs on EDSA between Quezon Avenue and Landmark, Trinoma (third lane northbound) and on Visayas Avenue between Road 1 and Quezon Avenue (center lane) in Quezon City; on EDSA between Temple Drive and United St. (northbound) in Mandaluyong City; and on South Superhighway all under the flyover from Magallanes to Arnaiz (southbound and northbound) in Makati City.
The MMDA advised motorists to use alternate routes.
It added that all roads will be fully passable by Monday morning.
