“Barclaycard is a world-class brand and we are thrilled to be launching our relationship. Teams around the world have been working together to prepare for this day and we’re confident in our ability to deliver exceptional service to their customers at our flagship site in Manila,” EGS President and Chief Executive Bob Segert said. EGS is the holding company of APAC Customer Services Inc. and NCO Financial Systems Inc.

EGS and Barclaycard announced their strategic partnership in May. Since that time, the companies have been working together to recruit, train, and prepare staff to begin servicing Barclaycard customers.

EGS opened the Centris building, its state-of-the-art headquarters in Metro Manila, in June this year. When at capacity, EGS Centris will be home to more than 6,000 EGS employees.

“EGS Centris is a physical representation of our commitment to our customers and our employees. The site offers our employees a beautiful place to come to work each day. Their satisfaction with the work environment is reflected in the exceptional service we deliver to our customers,” Bong Borja, EGS Philippines president and country head said.

“Delivering an extraordinary customer experience is at the core of the equation for both EGS and Barclaycard,” Borja added.

When at capacity, Barclaycard expects to have more than 700 employees exclusively providing service to their customers from EGS Centris, Barclaycard’s Center of Excellence for operations in the Philippines.

“Providing excellent customer service is at the core of our business, and we’re excited to have found a partner who is passionate about providing customers with the same positive experience they expect from us,” said Patrick Wright, Barclaycard Chief Operating Officer.
