Governor George ER Ejercito of Laguna province addressed the public yesterday and explain to them the issue of Comelec’s decision to disqualify him because of over-spending in the campaign.

In his speech, Ejercito said that he was elected by 549,310 registered votets and won by a margin of 78,101 votes over his opponent.

He said, “nakakagulat at nakakakalungkot ng lumabas ang bilang ako ay dinisqualify ng COMELEC, hindi ko pa po natatanggap ang nasabing desisyon ngunit ito ay kalat na kalat na po agad sa balita.

He said, he knows the rules on election spending as this is already his second term.

The governor disclosed that based on his statement of election contributions and expenditures (SOCE), he only spent P4,101.586.62 which is below the 4.5M limit. ROSELLE AQUINO
