ELECTION GUN-BAN ENDS, OVER 800 PERSONS ARRESTED

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said that more than 800 individuals have been arrested and hundreds of firearms seized during the 45-day long implementation of the nationwide election gun-ban. PNP spokesman Sr. Supt. Wilben Mayor said the implementation of the gun-ban was lifted Tuesday midnight. “The election duties end as election period ends,” said in a text message.
