ELECTRONIC imports increased by 12.81 percent in the first quarter of 2018 to $6.5 billion (P341.58 billion) from $5.76 billion (P302.69 billion) a year ago, the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation Inc. (Seipi) said.
According to data on the group’s website, telecommunication imports rose by 34 percent to $375.7 million (P18.8 billion) from $280.37 million (P14.73 billion) in 2017.
